Wow. Really really great. FYI – commenting my way UP your blog tonight. Completely inspired by these photos. They bring back great memories. Quick trivial story – In Hawaii, May 1 is “lei day” In Queen Kapiolani Park they have a lei contest where lei makers make lei’s to represent their islands – every island has a different color scheme. Stunning works.
You might enjoy poking around here – no the best artistry but representative shots. http://www1.honolulu.gov/parks/programs/leiday/photogallery.htm
I like the lei, Hawaiian quilting and the outfits… one day I want to get to Hawaii, one day in about ten years I think…!
You are being very helpful in identifying the flowers! I had no idea what that particular rainbow constructed weirdness was…
I had to swing by one more time before packing up to take another look – I LOVE the translucence of the lobster claw heliconia shot. So vibrant. Take care.
Glad I could help. I hope you do get to Hawaii some day. It is a beautiful place to visit. And good luck with the running!
